This was written perfectly! I love how you broke it all down stopping all arguments and disagreements from all angles. While a sensitive topic you took a stand point that "understood" all sides.

I do find it annoying when others who want to date outside of their race feels the need to shame their race in order to make themselves feel better about their choice. Like how some men say "dark skinned women are too bitter" , like why cant you just get a "foreign" and own it. It always has to be an excuse of why they did it/want to do it.

I, myself, still live in the fairy tale of wanting a black man ( although my boundaries are loosening a bit) not because I feel anything wrong with any other race but because I feel nobody can understand a black man like a black woman can.
