You explained this perfectly. While there are no excuses for how he is going about it he is definitely coming from a place of love. I feel as though he may go to the media and speak in a joking “alpha” way about it but with his daughter theres a difference. I dont know if any of you follow his daughter or if youve seen what she has to say about it but shes very positive and holds her dad to a very high esteem. Shes happy and has very high standards for who and how a man is allowed to approach her. When the majority of young black girls are trying to be instagram models showing butt shots and getting their bodies done (no judgement) she has a father that has taught her that she is worth so much more. Now, her pictures on insta can be just as revealing as anyones so that should say hes not controling her every movement.

Again he definitely shouldnt broadcast it the way that he is because thats their personal business, (more hers than his) but I applaud this man for being a father to his daughter even after shes considered “grown”. 18 doesnt mean that you need less guidance.
